SMS Terms

Effective Date: October 1, 2026. Last updated: October 13, 2026.

BaseLock is a product of AB Foundry LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company. This page explains exactly what text messages we send, how often, and how to stop them. It is a plain-language companion to section 15 of our Terms of Service.

The short version

  • We send only the messages you agreed to. We send no marketing or promotional texts.
  • Reply STOP to any BaseLock message to stop all messages from us, or HELP for help.
  • Because your phone number is how you sign in, turning off texts means no sign-in code until you reply START.
  • BaseLock does not charge you for texts, but your carrier's message and data rates may apply.

This summary helps you read the full text. The full text is what applies.

What we send

When you create a BaseLock account you tick a separate box consenting to text messages. The box reads: "I agree to receive text messages from BaseLock: sign-in passcodes, security alerts, mailbox and service alerts, remote-access notices, breach alerts, account notifications, and conversations with Advisor, including replies to questions I send and results of checks I request. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help. See SMS Terms and Privacy Policy." That consent covers these messages and nothing else:

  • One-time passcodes. An eight-digit code to verify your number when you sign up, and an eight-digit code each time you sign in. BaseLock accounts have no password, so your phone number is how you sign in.
  • Security alerts. A notice when we detect a new or suspicious program on one of your devices. These may include a single-use link that lets you allow or block that program.
  • Account notifications. A notice about activity on your account, such as when someone joins your team.
  • Mailbox and service alerts. A notice when our checks find something that needs your attention in a mailbox or other service you connected.
  • Remote-access notices. A notice when our staff will remotely access one of your devices, and when that access ends. These may include a link to review the access.
  • Update deadline reminders. A text the day before a device of yours must install a required update.
  • Security Advisor. Two-way text conversations about security, results of checks on texts, emails and files you forward, and alerts when your email address or phone number appears in a data breach. Advisor works without any device.

We do not send marketing or promotional texts, and we do not send bulk texts. Every message is triggered by something you did, by activity on one of your devices, connected accounts or a domain you have verified with us, by our staff accessing one of your devices, or, for a breach alert, by a newly published data breach that includes your information.

How often

Message frequency varies with your conversation and your alerts. Expect roughly one message each time you sign in, a reply for each message you send Advisor, plus alerts and notifications only when something happens on your account. Alert texts are limited to five a day, and only for alerts that need you soon; anything more still appears in your dashboard and reaches you by email.

Our text messages come from +1 877 907 2525, a verified toll-free number. On phones that support RCS, our messages may instead arrive from the verified BaseLock RCS agent, which shows our name and logo. We send from nowhere else.

Cost

Message and data rates may apply. BaseLock does not charge you for text messages, but your wireless carrier may. Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Stopping messages: STOP

Reply STOP (or STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END or QUIT) to any BaseLock message, whether it arrived as a text or as an RCS message, to stop all messages from us, including Advisor. STOP takes effect immediately, and you will get one text confirming it and nothing more. Reply START or UNSTOP to start receiving messages again.

Please read this part before you do it. Because your phone number is how you sign in, turning off texts means we cannot send you a sign-in code, so you will not be able to sign in until you reply START or UNSTOP, or contact us. STOP does not close your account, cancel a subscription or remove BaseLock from your devices.

Getting help: HELP

Reply HELP to any BaseLock message for help. You can also text us on +1 877 907 2525, or email support@getbaselock.com and a real person will answer.

Carriers

Supported carriers include AT&T, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, Boost Mobile, U.S. Cellular and Metro by T-Mobile, among others. Carrier support can change without notice.

Your privacy

Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. For the full picture, see our Privacy Policy.

Changing your number

Keep your number up to date in your account settings. If it changes and you do not update it, you will not be able to sign in or receive security alerts.
